UV light is an energy-saving and environmentally-friendly solution to eliminate odors and purify air emissions. The process needs neither chemicals nor high temperatures. In combination with natural oxygen (O2), UV light creates highly reactive radicals and ozone.
These radicals bind to organic substances such as solvents and oxidize them. The air pollutants such as odors, solvents (VOCs) and chemicals are eliminated in the oxidation process.
Odors can be reduced by 95% if UV oxidation is combined with other methods such as electrostatic precipitation, mechanical filtration or non-thermal plasma.
